Financial Aid

Financial aid is available for students taking online courses through Wisconsin's technical college. The financial aid process works just like it does for traditional classroom-based courses.

Most financial aid is based on the financial "need" or ability of the student's family to contribute towards the cost of higher education. Your family's income, assets, number of family members in college, and other factors are considered. You will not know if you are eligible for financial aid unless you apply. It's well worth the effort!

To get the facts on federal student aid, programs, eligibility, and how to apply, consult the Funding Your Education website sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. Students need to fill out the "Free Application for Student Aid" (FAFSA) as soon as possible after January 1 for the following fall enrollment. For most colleges, you only need to fill out one form to apply for federal, state, and campus-based financial assistance. You can find other information on state financial aid for the technical colleges and an extensive list of Wisconsin financial aid programs at the Wisconsin Higher Education Aids Board website, or visit our complete list of Grants, Loans, and Other Aid Programs.

Tuition

The cost for registering for an online course is exactly the same as for those registering for classroom based courses from a Wisconsin technical college, with the exception of a $10 per credit fee to help offset the costs of developing the online curriculum.
