Road Map
Students taking online courses through Wisconsin's technical colleges follow the same steps as classroom-based students do. The major steps are:
- Determining Your Area of Study
- Applying to a Wisconsin Technical College
- Receiving Letter of Acceptance
- Applying for Financial Aid
- Signing Up for Courses
Determining Your Area of Study
Wisconsin's technical colleges offer more than 300 career programs from which to choose. Depending on the program, you can receive an associate degree, one- or two-year technical diploma, short-term diploma or certificate. There is also a Liberal Arts program, Apprenticeship program, and Advance Technical Certificate opportunity for employers.
The number of programs and certificates available completely online through Wisconsin's technical colleges is growing each semester. However, even you cannot take all the required courses for your area of study online, there is a good chance that you may be able to take most or many online. Check out the eTech College of Wisconsin Course Catalog which lists online courses from ALL 16 Wisconsin technical colleges.
Signing Up for Courses
Most online students begin this step by searching the eTech College of Wisconsin's Course Catalog which lists online courses from ALL 16 Wisconsin technical colleges.
